Website Troubleshooting and FAQs

Our website utilizes some of the latest programming technology that some browsers are not yet capable of displaying. Our website is best viewed using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher with a screen resolution of 800x600 or higher. Optimized viewing is in Internet Explorer 6.0 with a screen resolution of 1024x768. Click Here to view a screenshot of what our website looks like using the latest version of Internet Explorer.

We have created this page to help troubleshoot any problems that may be occuring while you are on our website.

  1. Your broswer is out dated.
This is generally the number 1 reason you are having difficulty viewing our website correctly. If your browser version is older than Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape Navigator 6.0, then you are most likely seeing a distorted layout. Plus you could be missing a lot of information that the designer intended for you to see. Updating your browser is very simple and free.
    Possible Solution
Simply go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp and download the latest version of Internet Explorer or go to http://wp.netscape.com/download/?cp=myupgrd_my and download the latest version of Netscape. With a 56k Dial-Up modem this might take some time to download the latest versions, but this will greatly increase your internet browsing experience!

  2. You have disabled Java Applets and/or Scripting.
Java is a very important part of websites. It allows web designers to lay out websites in a more user friendly way and to produce a more professional look and feel with dynamic content.
    Possible Solution
Internet Explorer: On the top tool bar of your browser, click "Tools", click "Internet Options", click the "Security" tab, click "Custom Level", make sure that scripting is enabled.
Netscape Navigator: On the top tool bar of your browser, click "Edit", click "Advanced", make sure the "Enable JavaScript for Navigator" is checked".

  3. Why am I not able to see the flash on your website?
You do not have the Macromedia Flash Player. Our website does use Flash. If you do not have the Macromedia Flash Player, you will be prompted to download it when you enter our website. Click Here to view a screen shot of the download prompt. When prompted to download the Macromedia Flash Player, simply click "OK". It will automatically download and install. This process will only take a couple minutes to complete, then you will be able to view custom Flash programs. You may have to restart your computer for the install to complete. Allow the Macromedia Flash Player to be installed or click here to download and install it manually.

  4. Why does my browser not show the blue border like the screenshot image?
Your browser does not support the level of CSS that we have used to program this website. Make sure you have the latest version of the browser you are using. (see number 1)

  5. I keep getting "Page Not Found" when I try to view a certain page on your site?
Did you have this page saved to your favorites? Adding pages to your favorites is ok, but you need to keep the addresses of those pages updated. It is not recommended to add the I-Bank or e-Corp pages to your favorites as these change often due to software updates. Add the CNB homepage to your favorites and use the logos to log in. If you get the "Page Not Found" error from clicking on a link on our website, hit your "Refresh" or "Reload" button several times. If the error persists, contact the Webmaster. Please give explicit details.

  6. When I log in to e-Corp or I-Bank I get the error "No Session Connection Found".
Make sure you are using the URL www.cnbalva.com and not www.centralnationalbank.com. Go to www.cnbalva.com and click on the logo in the bottom right hand corner of the homepage.
